The Miami Hurricanes will have N’Kosi Perry under center Saturday against Pittsburgh, while Ohio State transfer Tate Martell will miss the game. Brett McMurphy of Stadium Network shared that Martell is missing the game due to what has been described as a “medical leave of absence.”

It’s not yet known what, exactly, Martell is being treated for.

This is significant news, because many have been clamoring for Martell to finally get a shot to lead the Hurricanes’ offense. Miami is 3-4, and its offense has been far from explosive this season.

Perry enters Week 9 with a completion percentage of 59.8, having thrown for 871 yards with eight touchdowns (four of which he threw in one game) and one interception.
