After a meeting on Thursday afternoon, the Miami Dolphins are reportedly nearing a deal with three-time Pro Bowler Odell Beckham Jr.

While the Dolphins had some clear issues by the end of the season, one area that was a strength was their passing attack. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa led the NFL in passing yards (4,624), and while he was very good in 2023, it was aided by the fact that he had a pair of world-class receivers to toss the ball to.

Last season, Miami had not one, but two receivers who reeled in over 1,000 yards. Despite missing three games, Jaylen Waddle tallied 1,014 yards and four touchdowns, while the team’s WR1, Tyreek Hill, led the league in yards (1,799) and touchdowns (13).

One would assume that the team is pretty set at wide receiver, however, the organization is close to adding a Super Bowl champion with a trio of Pro Bowls on his resume. On Wednesday, Miami Herald NFL reporter Barry Jackson reported the team was interested in speaking with former New York Giants star Odell Beckham Jr.

In a follow-up the next day, Jackson revealed the team had a meeting with the pass catcher on Thursday that went well and they had every intention of trying to sign him, the only holdup would be trying to find the right price for the 10-year veteran.
