McKenzie Milton carted off field with gruesome leg injury against USF

The UCF Knights entered Friday’s rivalry game against USF on a 23-game winning streak, thanks in large part to the play of quarterback McKenzie Milton.

Just before the 11-minute mark in the second half of Friday’s game, UCF ahead 7-0, Milton went down hard with a leg injury that looked awful as he scrambled for extra yards.

The stadium hushed as trainers rushed out onto the field to examine the star quarterback. It wasn’t long before the entire team rushed out to be with Milton, kneeling and lending their support.

Not surprisingly, the cart came out onto the field, and Milton left on a stretcher, his leg in a heavy brace.

Based on the gruesome way his right leg twisted, it would be a shock if Milton played another down for the Knights this year, which would be an awful way for the junior quarterback to end what’s been a historic run.
