The Dallas Mavericks ruled out guard Kyrie Irving for Wednesday night’s game against the Denver Nuggets with low back tightness.

The Mavs also ruled out Tim Hardaway Jr. (right hamstring tightness), Davis Bertans (left calf strain) and Maxi Kleber (right hamstring tear). Christian Wood (non-Covid illness) is a game-time decision.

New acquisition Justin Holiday is expected to make his Dallas debut.

Irving is averaging 28.3 points and 7.0 assists in four games with the Mavs since being acquired from the Brooklyn Nets.

The Mavs made their signing of Holiday official on Wednesday.

Holiday, 33, joins the Mavs after reaching a buyout agreement with the Houston Rockets, who acquired him last week in a trade-deadline deal with Atlanta.
