WATCH: Maurice Jones-Drew warns all NFL players to wear shower sandals

Former NFL running back Maurice Jones-Drew has a message for all NFL players when it comes to shower safety.

In light of Atlanta Falcons rookie running back Tevin Coleman’s recent spill in the shower that caused him to sustain a concussion, Jones-Drew advised players to always wear shower sandals to prevent slipping.

If Coleman hadn’t been barefoot, he likely wouldn’t have fallen and would have been able to play in Sunday’s victory against the Carolina Panthers.

Jones-Drew, who couldn’t for the life of him think of the exact word to describe his “shower sandals” says he doesn’t hit the shower without them. He also referred to Coleman as his “man” and to cut him a break because he is still learning the ropes as a rookie.

Getting off to a slow start in his rookie season and primarily overshadowed by second-year running back Devonta Freeman, Coleman has tallied 392 rushing yards and one touchdown.
