Martellus Bennett and Rob Gronkowski were teammates last year, and the two tight ends no doubt got close due to all their shared time together in meetings and practices.
Though, the entire world knows what Gronk’s favorite number is, because he’s let us know so many times. So, it was only natural that Bennett couldn’t not share with Gronkowski that he’d hit 269,000 Twitter followers.

It really is too bad these two didn’t get to spend more time on the field together last year. While Gronkowski was out with a back injury, Bennett was a key player for the New England Patriots and helped them win Super Bowl LI over the Atlanta Falcons.
Now he’s in Green Bay to catch passes from another future Hall of Famer, Aaron Rodgers. And he’s not too broken up about that.
Meanwhile, Gronk just inked a new contract that is highly incentive-laden and can earn him a ton of cash if he can stay healthy.
Life must be rough for these guys.
