Green Bay Packers tight end Martellus Bennett had New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady throwing to him last season. This year, it’ll be Aaron Rodgers, another future Hall of Famer. And how does Bennett feel about it?
“[It’s] like leaving J.Lo and going to Halle Barry,” said Bennett, via the Houston Chronicle.
As far as comparisons go, this one has to be near the top of any list. Brady helped Bennett to a career year in New England, where he had 701 receiving yards and a career-high seven touchdowns. Now, Bennett gets to go to Green Bay and play with a quarterback who many consider to be even better. How lucky can you be?
Bennett is 30 years old and joins a Packer team that went 10-6 last season, winning its last six regular season games and making it to the NFC title game before falling to the Atlanta Falcons. Many considered Rodgers to be the MVP, however, the award ultimately went to Atlanta QB Matt Ryan.
