Marshawn Lynch out at least a month, could be placed on IR

The Oakland Raiders’ disastrous 2018 season continues to take a turn for the worse. NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that running back Marshawn Lynch will miss at least the next month due to a hamstring injury he suffered Week 6 against his former Seattle Seahawks squad.

Rapoport went on to note that injured reserve could be a distinct possibility for the 32-year-old running back.

Despite not getting much help from a struggling Derek Carr in the passing game, Lynch looked darn good through the first six games of the season. That included him putting up 460 total yards and three touchdowns while averaging 4.4 yards per touch.

With Lynch sidelined at least the next month, expect the likes of Doug Martin and Jalen Richard to split duties at running back.

At 1-5 on the season, Oakland is in the midst of a tank. Losing Lynch for a substantial amount of time only adds to that feeling.
