The Oakland Raiders are officially one of the worst teams in the NFL, being one of the three that has yet to win a game in 2018. Marshawn Lynch was asked what he thought about his team’s poor start, and his response might make you giggle.

Now, Lynch might not be as far off on his take about Oakland’s offense than you think. The Raiders have not had much trouble racking up yards (400 per game), and they clearly have the ability to strike quickly (like this).

It’s also worth noting that Oakland’s offense would be much more formidable if it could convert touchdowns in the red zone. So far, the Raiders are scoring touchdowns inside the 20-yard line at a 44-percent clip and rank 28th in points scored.

So, the offense might not be as far away from success as it seems. But they’re 0-3, despite having led at halftime in each of their three games.

You still have to be able to stop people. Especially late in games. And so far, Oakland has been atrocious, allowing 37 points in the fourth quarter in three games.

So, clearly the team’s woes have more to do with a porous defense that can’t rush the passer than anything else (though, we’re completely flummoxed as to why this could be the case).
