Report: Marshawn Lynch deal with Raiders would include ‘heavy incentives’

The return of retired Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, who’s expected to play with the Oakland Raiders, seems imminent with this latest news.

Lynch has already begun filing for reinstatement. And in order for him to be traded or released by the Seahawks, he must agree to terms to a deal with Oakland, per reports.

Lynch turns 31 later this month. It is not surprising that a short one or two-year deal, heavily loaded with incentives, is the target. If the two sides work out an amenable contract, it would take Lynch back to his hometown to finish an illustrious career that has so far consisted of four seasons with the Buffalo Bills and six years in Seattle, where he won a championship.

Lynch was originally a 12th overall pick by Buffalo in 2007. Fans in the Bay Area are surely anxious to see Lynch make a return to the game.
