The NBA logo has featured former Los Angeles Lakers star Jerry West since 1969, but many have been pushing for the Association to make the late Kobe Bryant the new logo.
In fact, more than 3 million people have signed a Change.org petition asking the NBA to make Bryant the new logo.
One person who would get behind that idea is none other than Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
Speaking with TMZ Sports, Cuban said he “would support” making Bryant the logo: “I just think it’s so much more than basketball,” Cuban said, speaking to TMZ Sports. “He brought so many people together.”
Yahoo Sports reported last week that the NBA will not change the logo. However, it’s worth noting that Jerry West himself made it clear he doesn’t want to be the logo any more back in 2017. So, if ever there was a time to make a change, it seems like now is it.
