Magic Johnson reflects on Lifetime Achievement award, thanks Adam Silver

Magic Johnson and Larry Bird were honored Monday night at the NBA Awards, as both of them were presented with Lifetime Achievement awards.

On Tuesday morning, Johnson took to Twitter and reflected on the honor. He thanked NBA commissioner Adam Silver, shouted out the rest of the awards winners, and Samuel L. Jackson, who presented his award.

Then, of course, he singled out his longtime friend and rival, Larry Bird.

Johnson has been in the news for all the wrong reasons in recent weeks following his abrupt, surprise departure as the president and general manager of the Los Angeles Lakers. However, he is undeniably one of the NBA’s best of all-time, and the award he received Monday night was well deserved.
