Minnesota Lynx rookie Diamond Miller will miss weeks because of sprained right ankle sustained in Tuesday night’s game against the Dallas Wings, the team said Friday.

An MRI confirmed the diagnosis and the team said the 22-year-old forward will be reevaluated “in the following weeks.”

The injury occurred at the 3:05 mark of the second quarter in the 94-89 loss to Dallas. She had eight points, five rebounds and four assists before departing.

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 draft, Miller is averaging 10.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 20.8 minutes over the first five games of her career.

The Lynx are 0-6 to start the season. They will face the Washington Mystics (2-2) on the road Friday.
