The Louisville football program is in shambles this year in the wake of Lamar Jackson leaving for the NFL, and James Burgess put a cherry on top of this crap sundae on Saturday against Clemson.
Down by 46 points in the third quarter, Burgess blew up a return man and proceeded to celebrate like he made the play of the year. Right before being ejected for targeting on the play.
Losing by 46 points, blow up a defenseless returner, get kicked out of game for targeting but act like you just made the play of the game. Come on man👎🏻 pic.twitter.com/F2G6vXeGz6

Here’s a close-up view of the hit, which absolutely was correctly called as targeting.

The Cardinals are a walking disaster. This play really does highlight that fact to perfection.
