We’re seeing a lot of this around the NFL thus far in the 2023 season. The Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers are not immune from it, either.

The two teams got into a fight ahead of Monday Night Football from Southern California’s SoFi Stadium. Dante Fowler Jr. and Maxi Smith of the Cowboys joined Chargers safety Derwin James, among others, in being involved in the spat.

ESPN had a better angle of what went down mere minutes before kickoff in Los Angeles. Helmets were being grabbed. Players were being shoved. A couple jabs were thrown. It was not what we’d call a minor spat between the two NFL teams.

As you can see, officials on hand inside SoFi Stadium attempted to break it up. Eventually, cooler heads prevailed as the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers went back to their respective sidelines.

However, that did not come before video showed that Fowler Jr. had punched Chargers running back Austin Ekeler.

The NFL is going to want to get a handle on things like this. It was just on Sunday that the San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns were also involved in a pre-game fight.

Once it extends to the actual game, things can turn even more ugly.
