Looks like Chase Daniel time again, as Mitch Trubisky doubtful to play Sunday

Quinn Harris-USA TODAY Sports

It’s looking like the Chicago Bears will once again turn to Chase Daniel Sunday against the New York Giants, as Mitch Trubisky was listed as doubtful Friday.

Chicago enters Week 13 as the first-place team in the NFC North with a record of 8-3. The Bears are on a five-game winning streak and won their last game with Daniel under center.

Daniel was outstanding against Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. He completed 73 percent of his passes for 230 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

As it has done all year, Chicago’s defense did the rest. It forced Matthew Stafford into two interceptions, including a phenomenal pick-six by Eddie Jackson.

So, obviously, there’s no reason for alarm here, especially since the Giants aren’t exactly scaring anyone this year.
