With Jordan Spieth having struggled earlier in the day, Tiger Woods had an opportunity to close the gap between himself and the Round 1 leader The Masters on Friday. Unfortunately for Woods, his round didn’t start out too swimmingly.
Attempting to make a comeback to relevance, Woods finished the first five holes plus-2. That included a trek into the woods during a Par 4 fifth hole, ultimately leading to a double bogey and Woods finding himself at plus-4 for the tourney.
Needless to say, Tiger being in the woods became the pun of social media.
