LOOK: ‘The Sandlot’ cast being honored by the Dodgers

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

It’s happening. A quarter century after this group of nine kids became part of the American lexicon for their roles in the all-time great baseball movie “The Sandlot,” they’re now being honored by the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Again, it’s happening. And it’s pretty darn awesome.

“Legends never die.” Truer words have not been spoken in the history of ever.

Oh, and Smalls was certainly in attendance with this cast of misfits.

Those of you who are too young to remember this cult class, I have just one thing to say to you.

“You’re killing me.”

Go watch the movie and make your life fuller because of it.

Why? Because, this is still America’s Pastime. And “The Sandlot” Is still America’s baseball movie.
