The University of Notre Dame is a prestigious academic institution with one of the best football programs in the country. Now, one of Notre Dame’s newest players is bringing one of the worst unscientific opinions to the campus.
Receiver Xavier Woods, a three-star recruit that signed this week, believes the world is flat. In fact, he seems to think that calling the world round is even more absurd than the flat earth conspiracy.
Of course, he’s not the only one who believes in this odd conspiracy. Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving, who went to Duke University, is a flat-earth truther. Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Geno Smith is among the believers, too.
At this point, all Notre Dame can hope for is that Watts’ play on the field is far better than his ideas on science.
