LOOK: Lions star Darius Slay not happy about Quandre Diggs‘ trade

Trades are coming in fast and furious around the NFL world with one week remaining until the deadline.

That included a somewhat surprising deal that sent starting safety Quandre Diggs from the Detroit Lions to the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday.

A full-time starter in Detroit over each of the past three seasons, it’s surprising to see the 2-3-1 Lions move on from the veteran.

It also appears that Diggs’ soon-to-be former teammate, Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay is not happy about the trade.

With how prevalent trades are becoming around the NFL, more players are going to find themselves upset about specific deals. When they happen in the middle of the season, that’s magnified even further.

Slay has a reason to be upset. Detroit is still very much in the NFC Playoff race. Trading a player who has started 32 games since the start of the 2017 season is questionable.

Moving him to a fellow playoff contender in the same conference adds to that.
