The Los Angeles Angels and larger baseball world suffered an unthinkable tragedy when pitcher Tyler Skaggs passed away at the young age of 27 on Monday.

Skaggs was found dead in the team’s hotel as Los Angeles prepared for a series against the Rangers in Texas.

Since his untimely passing, a lot of people have paid tribute to the Southern California native. That now includes an unnamed artist who painted this mural of Skaggs at Venice Beach. It’s amazing stuff.

A lot of work, effort and thought went into this piece of art. As anyone who has been to Venice knows, this fits right in with the culture in the coastal town.

Skaggs was born and grew up in nearby Woodland Hills.
