LOOK: Ex-LSU teammates Jamal Adams, Leonard Fournette trade barbs on Twitter

Just a few years after they were teammates at LSU, New York Jets safety Jamal Adams and Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette are now taking shots at each other on Twitter.

It started innocently when Fournette had some fun with the big fight on Thursday Night Football and encouraged fans to “fight for me” in the NFL’s Pro Bowl voting.

Adams then jumped in by poking his former teammate a bit, calling him out jokingly for being thirsty for Pro Bowl votes.

Once Adams took the first shot, Fournette went back to their time together with a timely memory. He shared how Adams hid under a table during a fight at a party.

New York’s 24-year-old safety, who is known for delivering big hits on the field, unleashed an even bigger hit on Fournette with his next tweet. Adams called Fournette out for “faking an injury” and quitting on the team by sitting out the Citrus Bowl in 2016.

While Fournette admitted there’s nothing but love ex-teammate, he delivered one more shot by bringing up their history against each other in practices.

There might certainly be some fun banter between Fournette and Adams, but it just adds to an incredible week in the NFL with storylines that no one would have believed if you predicted them.
