Empty seats were certainly expected for Thursday’s Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers game at Levi Stadium. Let’s say that expectations were met.

There are a number of reasons that Levi’s Stadium consistently leaves large pockets of seats empty. One unique to this game, however, is a local start time right in the middle of Bay Area rush hour traffic.

With that in mind, it’s not surprising that tickets for this game were going for comically low prices on the secondary market. It’s also not surprising that even with low ticket costs, many fans have decided to stay home.
