The NFL created strict social distancing guidelines for teams to follow this season to help ensure the safety of players during the COVID-19 pandemic. On Wednesday, the Detroit Lions unveiled their redesigned locker room that keeps physical distancing in mind.

Under the NFL’s COVID-19 guidelines for this season, teams are required to rearrange locker rooms and workout facilities to ensure proper distancing between players.

As the Lions showcased on Twitter, they will make sure that players are separated and the NFL’s strict guidelines are followed. Inside the locker room, players will have more space in their individual areas and be protected by plexiglass barriers.

Detroit likely won’t be the only NFL team to install plexiglass inside their locker rooms and create additional distance between players. Every club is doing what it can to follow the league’s guidelines and keep players protected from potential exposure to the coronavirus.

Let’s hope we see more teams unveil their redesigned locker rooms in the coming days and the new spaces help keep everyone safe.
