Legal analyst: Mychal Kendricks likely facing 8-12 months in prison for insider trading

Browns

One of the more stunning pieces of news that hit the sports world Wednesday morning involved Cleveland Browns linebacker Mychal Kendricks.

He’s being charged by the U.S. Attorney with insider trading and is alleged to have profited $1.2 million in exchange for $10,000 in cash and tickets to Eagles games.

Kendricks admitted to being involved, apologized for his actions and is cooperating with the investigation.

Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports and Sports Spectrum spoke with legal analyst and attorney David Weinstein, who gave an estimate that Kendricks is facing between 8-12 months in prison.

Kendricks only just signed with the Browns this past June after being surprisingly released by the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason.
