LeBron James remained silent on Friday following reports surfacing that teammate Kyrie Irving requested a trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers. The request in and of itself seemingly stems from Irving no longer wanting to play second fiddle to James.

On Saturday, James himself took to Snapchat as a way to respond to Irving’s request to move on from Cleveland.

No one can argue that this isn’t another petty move in an NBA offseason that’s been filled with so much petty.

In case you’re lost, James was playing the Meek Mill song Heavy Heart.

“I gave this hustle everything I got. Always kept it real from the very start. (Expletive) ain’t thorough like I always thought. Damn, the game left me with a heavy heart. The streets left me with a heavy heart. (Expletive) said they with you when they really not,” the song reads. “(Expletive) plot on everything you got. The streets left me with a heavy heart.”

There’s definitely some shade being thrown around there.

For his part, James is not going to try to talk Irving out of his trade demands. He’s also not going to play a role in potential trade conversations. This could very well be seen as the 2016 NBA Finals MVP already having one foot out the door. James is set to become a free agent following the 2017-18 season and has been linked to the Los Angeles Lakers.

In any event, it’s clear that we might be headed in the direction of another Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant saga between these two teammates. If so, get your popcorn ready and enjoy the drama. It will be entertaining.
