James has been out since Christmas Day, when he said he felt a “pop” as he was injured in the game against the Golden State Warriors.
The Lakers have lost three of their four games since James was injured.
The 34-year-old forward has averaged 27.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game this year, his first in Los Angeles.
