LeBron James: Warriors’ super team is ‘great’ for the NBA

LeBron James

The Cleveland Cavaliers have no chance to beat the Golden State Warriors this year. Not after Kevin Durant signed on to make the Dubs a legitimate superteam capable of dismantling the best the NBA has to offer — a team that’s gone 15-0 and barely broken a sweat doing so. But is LeBron James bitter about being on the other end of this reality?

Hardly.

While most Cavaliers fans, and NBA fans in general, hate on the Warriors for assembling this squad, James isn’t upset. In fact, it sure sounds like he’s very much in favor of loading up to win as much as possible — something he did himself playing with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on the Miami Heat.

The Cavaliers aren’t in a great position to pursue top talent to the roster. Not unless trades are part of acquiring said talent. They’re already well over the cap for next season (details here).

They obviously have some serious work to do in order to be able to compete with the likes of Golden State. A Warriors team, we might add, that will feature the same cast of characters next season.

Still, if it’s possible to stack Cleveland’s roster with enough firepower to challenge Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Co., it sounds like LeBron James is completely on board.
