LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers had to be frustrated Sunday evening taking on one of the worst teams in the NBA in that of the Detroit Pistons on the road.

Down 78-66 early in the third quarter, King James let that frustration boil over. Below, you will see him make contact with Pistons big man Isaiah Stewart after a free throw. The scene itself was pretty ugly with Stewart bleeding from the face after the altercation.

Stewart had to be held back multiple times as he and LeBron James got into it following the incident. As for James, he was ejected after officials on hand at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit called a flagrant 2 on him.

Here’s a better look at the play in question.

That clearly shows a punch to the face of Stewart, who was not about to back down despite going up against one of the greatest players in NBA history.

As noted above, this has to be seen as the continuation of the frustration James and his Lakers are dealing with. They were blown out by the Boston Celtics Friday evening in LeBron James’ return to action. The team entered Sunday’s game with a pedestrian 8-9 record an found itself down at halftime against a Pistons squad that boasts a 4-11 mark.

One now has to wonder whether James will be suspended for this incident.
