Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James suffered what seemed to be a serious groin injury during Christmas night’s blowout win over the Golden State Warriors. James exited the game in the third quarter and didn’t return.
Initial reports that he suffered a groin strain were confirmed by an MRI on Wednesday. James is now considered day-to-day.

The three-time NBA champ sent out a tweet on Wednesday confirming the injury and counting his blessings.

Having slipped on the court at Oracle, the injury could have been far more severe. The good news here is that James’ injury seems to be short term. The bad news? Groin injuries have a way of lingering.
His counterpart on Christmas, two-time MVP Stephen Curry, missed three weeks with a groin injury earlier this season.
