Larry Fitzgerald helps terminally-ill business owner, foots lunch bills

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is known as one of the nicest guys in professional sports. A fixture in the desert for the past 15 years, the future Hall of Famer continues to do so much good within the community.

This is the latest example of Fitz’s altruism. In coming to the aid of terminally-ill local deli owner Joe Casella, Fitzgerald decided to bring a bunch of patrons with him to the business and foot the bills for the lunch.

“Joe and his family are such a big part of the community and a true example of a family-run restaurant that cares about their neighbors and community,” Fitzgerald said, via the Scottsdale Independent.

The 79-year-old Casella has been known to provide free food to the local high school football team or anyone in need of a meal in the area. Fitzgerald is paying him back with this grand gesture while helping feed countless mouths.

Teammates D.J. Foster and Christian Kirk also stopped by while Fitzgerald was at the establishment.

This really is some great stuff right here.
