Audio emerges of Lane Kiffin kicking DeSanto Rollins off Ole Miss football team, leading to $40M lawsuit

The lawsuit between Ole Miss defensive tackle DeSanto Rollins and Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin just took an interesting turn in the public eye.

Rollins is accusing Kiffin and the Rebels of ignoring his requests to take a mental health break after suffering a concussion in addition to other various injuries. Meanwhile, Rollins claims Kiffin kicked him off the team simply because he asked for a break. Rollins has since filed a lawsuit, seeking up to $40 million from the university.

Front Office Sports has obtained the audio clip of a fiery discussion between Kiffin and the former three-star recruit after Rollins took his mental health break that lasted two weeks. Here is the clip.

Rollins is seeking up to $10 million in compensatory damages from Kiffin and Ole Miss and up to an additional $30 million in punitive damages, along with getting a temporary restraining order put in place.

Meanwhile, Ole Miss and Kiffin have since motioned to dismiss the lawsuit entirely.

Rollins is a 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive line prospect who saw action in three games at Ole Miss, where he tallied a total of three tackles. He has been with the program since 2020.
