Lane Kiffin cannot stop referencing Nick Saban’s ‘rat poison’ comment

Lane Kiffin

Lane Kiffin and Nick Saban have a checkered past, to say the least, and Kiffin never passes up an opportunity to take a shot at his former boss.

By now you’re likely familiar with Saban’s “rat poison” rant against the media writing good things about his team earlier this year. Since that rant, Kiffin has referenced “rat poison” seemingly countless times to take shots at Saban (like this), including a tank top giveaway at the end of November.

As Florida Atlantic gears up for a Boca Raton Bowl matchup against Akron, Kiffin is at it once again.

The Owls are heavily favored to win this game, and rightfully so. They’ve been roasting teams ever since Week 5 and finished the season with nine straight wins, not to mention the C-USA title.

So, it’s not surprising that some are writing that the Owls need to battle against overconfidence heading into this upcoming bowl game. Kiffin saw a Sun-Sentinel article revolving around that concept and responded, “Stop with the rat poison!!!! This is out of control now.”

We can only imagine the huge grin on Kiffin’s face as he tweets out these messages. He must get such a kick out of grinding his old boss, because he just won’t stop. And to be honest, we hope he never does.
