LaMelo Ball is an intriguing prospect who has plenty of talent, and after working out with Trae Young recently he received glowing praise from the Atlanta Hawks star.

Young spoke with TMZ Sports this weekend and made it clear he believes Ball has the skills to become a top-three pick.

“Possibly, yeah for sure,” Young said when asked if Ball can be a top-three draft pick. “He’ll be ready the by the time he gets to the league.”

Young also said that Ball will be “good in the league” and that he “is a good player” regardless of when he’s selected in the draft.

This year, Ball is going to be playing professionally for the Illawarra Hawks, an Australian team in the National Basketball League, in preparation for the 2020 NBA Draft.

He’s shown plenty of ability and skill in recent years. And from that standpoint, it’s easy to see Ball ending up as a top-three pick in the draft. What remains to be seen, however, is whether he’ll end up carrying his dad’s drama with him wherever he goes.
