Reports are every where that Phil Jackson is going to accept a role with the Knicks’ organization. The Lakers, who no doubt aren’t in love with that, have been in the news for the WRONG reasons this year. Reports from ESPNLA.com say the Lakers aren’t firing Mike D’Antoni until the off-season.For obvious reasons, firing D’Antoni and his staff with 19 games left makes zero sense. Firing D’Antoni to draw attention from Phil Jackson and the Knicks for the hell of it? That seems like a typical NBA story line. Here’s one thing the next coach of the Lakers gets to look forward to: a potential top 3 pick in a loaded draft. Oh, and Kobe probably coming back and being relevant.
