Los Angeles Lakers lose Lonnie Walker IV, Austin Reaves for 2 weeks

Los Angeles Lakers guards Lonnie Walker IV and Austin Reaves are both out for approximately two weeks.

The team announced Friday that Walker has left knee tendinitis and Reaves has a left hamstring strain.

Walker, 24, is averaging 14.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 32 games (all starts) this season.

Reaves, 24, is averaging 10.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 36 games (12 starts) this season.

The short-handed Lakers signed guard Sterling Brown to a 10-day contract ahead of Friday night’s game against the visiting Atlanta Hawks. Brown, 27, has a 5.4 scoring average in 264 games (29 starts) with three NBA teams over five seasons.

Los Angeles is already playing without star center Anthony Davis (foot). LeBron James (ankle) and Russell Westbrook (foot) are both listed as probable for Friday’s game.
