Los Angeles Lakers star big man Anthony Davis will make a return to his hometown of Chicago once NBA All-Star festivities tip off in February.

Unfortunately for Bulls fans and others on hand, Davis has no interest in taking part in the annual NBA Slam Dunk Contest.

That’s a shame.

This specific event has lacked star power since its heyday with the likes of Michael Jordan and Vince Carter decades back. Davis would have certainly given it said star power.

The good news? Davis’ teammate with the Lakers, Dwight Howard, is prepared to compete. Yeah, that’s not the same thing.

In any event, the expectation is that Davis will be on hand for the actual game as he prepares for free agency this coming summer.
