Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is hoping his team selects CeeDee Lamb in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Murray was on hand at the Oklahoma pro day Wednesday to support Lamb and his other former Sooners teammates. James Palmer of NFL Network shared taht he’s “been pretty open about his desire to have the Cardinals pick WR CeeDee Lamb in the first round.”

Lamb, of course, had a monster season in 2018 with Murray pulling the strings in the Sooners’ offense. That year, he hauled in 65 passes for 1,178 yards and 11 touchdowns. This past season at Oklahoma, Lamb was even more dangerous. He caught 62 passes for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns and regularly was featured on highlight reels due to his prowess after the catch.

During his pro day Wednesday, Lamb also wowed everyone in attendance with an utterly absurd catch in the end zone (watch here). No doubt, he’d immediately upgrade Arizona’s offense if he joined Murray in the desert in 2020.

The Cardinals currently have the No. 8 overall pick, and we recently mocked a left tackle in that slot. It wouldn’t be too crazy to see Kliff Kingsbury and Murray convince general manager Steve Keim to take Lamb there, however, and there’s always the chance the Cardinals could trade down a bit and bring in the talented receiver.
