Newly acquired infielder/outfielder Kris Bryant is expected to make his San Francisco Giants debut Sunday against the visiting Houston Astros, according to multiple reports.

The Chicago Cubs dealt the 2016 NL MVP to San Francisco on Friday for right-hander Caleb Kilian and outfielder Alexander Canario, both minor leaguers.

Bryant, 29, likely will not be able to make it to San Francisco in time for Saturday afternoon’s game against the Astros, according to Giants manager Gabe Kapler.

The 2015 NL Rookie of the Year is hitting .267 with 18 home runs and 51 RBIs in 93 games this season. A four-time All-Star, Bryant is a career .279 hitter with 160 home runs and 465 RBIs in 833 games, all with the Cubs.
