Well, the writing was on the wall for this one. The New York Knicks have reportedly fired head coach David Fizdale after going 4-18 to start the season.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski shared this breaking news Friday afternoon.

Fizdale has been the coach of the Knicks since the start of last season. New York went 17-65 in his first season, then drafted R.J. Barrett out of Duke at No. 3 overall while making some truly baffling free-agency decisions that most fans hated.

Predictably, the team has not had any success this season. Whether any of that is on Fizdale is up for debate.

We do know the Knicks are one of the worst-run organizations in the NBA right now. So regardless of what happens next, Knicks fans should not hold their breath waiting for a revival.
