Kirk Herbstreit: Washington should be thanking ESPN for airing their games at all

According to ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit, the Washington Huskies, and all Pac-12 teams, for that matter, should be licking ESPN’s boots.

Washington head football coach Chris Petersen is not happy about the fact his highly-ranked Huskies are playing so late every week. He made that point perfectly clear this week leading up to his team’s Week 6 game against Cal, which doesn’t even start until 10:45 p.m. ET.

Then on Saturday during ESPN College GameDay in Fort Worth, Herbstreit had this to say about Petersen’s complaint.

We’re guessing Washington, its players, coaches and fans, won’t be thrilled about this. We’re also betting the Pac-12 itself won’t be happy to hear it should just be happy to have a seat at the table at all.
