Kirk Cousins could tie an infamous record Monday night

Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins

Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins continues to play at an elite level. He enters Monday night’s Week 7 game having thrown nine touchdowns compared to two interceptions for a 106.4 passer rating through five games.

But Cousins has definitely struggled performing under the lights during the week. Throughout his five-plus seasons in the NFL, the quarterback has posted an 0-8 record during weekday games. This includes an 0-5 mark on Monday Night Football.

A loss Monday against the first-place Eagles would put Cousins in some rather infamous company.

Archie Manning might be best known for being the father of two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks. But his playing days were marred by team-wide futility in a big way. Manning posted a career 35-101-3 mark as a starting quarterback in the NFL. This included three seasons with two wins or fewer with New Orleans.

While Cousins has surely proven himself to be more of a winner here, he definitely doesn’t want to join Archie on this small list. It will be difficult Monday against an Eagles team that heads into the divisional matchup with an NFC-best 5-1 record.
