Kirk Cousins defends call with Donald Trump

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins received a call from President Trump after beating the New York Giants this past Sunday.

Needless to say, some around the sports world were taken aback by this. Trump remains a very divisive figure around the United States as he faces impeachment and potential removal from office.

In talking about this call, Cousins defended himself by noting that politics aside you take a call from POTUS no matter what.

For Cousins, it’s about respecting the office of the president. He was not about to get into the politics of it all. He’s not wrong here.

Cousins was not about to duck the president and show disrespect in that regard. He didn’t have to address it, but had the perfect response to the faux outrage
