Kevin Youkilis, The Name Sounds Familiar…

While NFL stays on the trend of free agency, a familiar face recently dealt with the same issues many NFL players dealt with.

34 year-old third baseman Kevin Youkilis has been a part of two World Series Championship teams (2004 and 2007 with the Boston Red Sox), a multi-time All-Star, Hank Aaron Award winner, and the list goes on and on.

However, once the 2013 season came to a close, Youkilis entered the off-season as a free agent. He also had a good feeling he would be picked up. Well so did we…

The former Gold Glove Award winner now plays for the Rakuten Golden Eagles in Japan’s Pacific League. Which you know as the last time Masahiro Tanaka played for. Weird, just really weird.

He finished 2013 with two homeruns, 23 hits, and a .219 batting average. Rough numbers, I know.
