Kevin Durant to miss Wednesday’s game with thigh injury

Kevin Durant

The Golden State Warriors will be without reigning NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant for their big early-season game against the improved Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.

Durant suffered a thigh contusion in the Warriors’ blowout win over Miami on Monday and will be inactive.

Golden State is in the midst of a four-game winning streak after starting the season out slowly. During that span, they are defeating their opponents by an average of 21 points per game.

For his part, Durant is averaging 24.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and an NBA-best 2.5 blocks per game. He’ll definitely be missed against a Wolves squad that enters Wednesday’s game with a 7-3 mark.
