Kevin Durant makes decision on 2024 Olympics in Paris

Phoenix Suns star forward Kevin Durant met with the media on Monday with training camps getting going around the NBA.

Obviously, the topic of conversation surrounded the new-look Suns with Bradley Beal joining Durant and Devin Booker in the desert.

However, the future Hall of Famer was also asked about his intentions for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. He made it clear that he plans on playing for Warriors head coach Steve Kerr when things get going next summer.

Durant, 35, has earned three gold medals playing for Team USA in the Olympics (2012, 2016 and 2020). It’s not really a surprise that he’s putting it out there and will take part in the event next summer despite recent injury issues and the future Hall of Famer’s relatively advanced age.

Durant is entering his first full season with the Suns. He was acquired from the Brooklyn Nets ahead of February’s NBA trade deadline and played in only eight regular-season games with Phoenix due to injury.

All said, KD has appeared in 137 games over four seasons after suffering a torn Achilles when he was a member of the aforementioned Warriors during the 2019 NBA Finals.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is also seemingly ready to commit to the 2024 Summer Olympics. He’s joined by Stephen Curry and Draymond Green (Golden State Warriors) and Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics) as those who will likely partake.
