Washington Wizards forward Kelly Oubre might need surgery to repair damage to his right knee, but he wouldn’t let doctors tell him what is wrong until after the playoffs.
Oubre had an MRI last week on the injured knee but refused to hear the diagnosis. He also indicated to reporters Tuesday that, while he still hasn’t gotten the news, a procedure (or procedures) could be on the menu.
So Oubre doesn't know the diagnosis, but indicated procedures could be necessary.

Known best for being tossed from Game 3 after physically attacking Kelly Olynyk, Oubre barely saw any action in the final two games of the series. He played just seven minutes in Game 6 and did not play at all in Game 7. For the series, he averaged 6.5 points and 2.2 rebounds per game, doing most of his damage in Games 1, 2 and 5.
The Wizards were eliminated from postseason play with a Game 7 loss to the Boston Celtics on Monday.
