Keith Thurman placed large wager on himself to knock out Pacquiao in first two rounds

Keith Thurman is supremely confident in himself heading into his July 20 bout against the legendary Manny Pacquiao. He’s so confident, in fact, that he placed a large wager on himself to knock Pacman out in the first two rounds.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Thurman said he wagered $10,000 that he’ll knock his opponent out before Round 3.

“I’m younger. I’m gonna let my hands go in a way that Adrian Broner didn’t,” Thurman said … “I’m gonna make it a fight!”

For what it’s worth, Thurman has knocked out his opponent 22 times out of 29 total wins previously. The 30-year-old hasn’t knocked anyone out in a few years, however, and won his last three fights with 12-round decisions.

On the other side, Pacquiao has only been knocked out three times in his legendary career.

So, in no way is it a sure bet for Thurman. Needless to say, he’s got plenty of motivation to make it happen.
