DES MOINES — Kansas point guard Dajuan Harris was helped to the locker room with a right ankle injury with 3:07 left in the first half of the Jayhawks’ NCAA Tournament second-round game against Arkansas on Saturday.

Harris left his feet to challenge a 10-foot baseline jumper by Arkansas’ Nick Smith Jr. and came down out of bounds on two feet, but rocked back into a photographer seated under the basket and rolled his right ankle.

Kansas led the game 29-22 when Harris exited to the tunnel and began walking under his own power.

Harris, a redshirt junior, started for the 2022 national championship team and was the 2023 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.
