When Edison Frias was ejected during today’s Detroit Tigers-Houston Astros spring training game, Justin Verlander was ready to rumble.
Despite being in the clubhouse when Miguel Cabrera was plunked, Verlander “ran out there,” just in case he was needed as an enforcer.
“In my cutoff shirt, I’m sure I was very intimidating,” joked Verlander, via ESPN
It wasn’t the first time a Verlander has been ready to go at it lately. Fiance Kate Upton called out the MLB over Verlander’s second-place finish in Cy Young Award voting last November, and more recently she revealed an interesting pre-game romantic agreement she has with the burly pitcher that might surprise you.
